Task Four - Pre- Production Planning - Proposal

Within this music video creation we are going to be creating a video for the song called "Different Colours" by Walk the moon. In this video we expect to create a band sequence side of the video as well as the other half being a more of a story based line to go to the music video. Are expected budget within this video is £20 pounds, this is due to the equipment being provided to us.

Task Three – Analyse the track

From reading the lyrics of the track i think that what the song "Different Colors" is trying to portray is changing the world that they live in. I get this through some of the lyrics which are in the first verse of the song. "Daylight still along time coming but i know it will." The first aspect of this lyric which is aiming to making a world a better place is that the daylight hasn't come yet and therefore it could indicate a sign of negativity and bad things may be approaching. The last bit of the lyric "But i know it will" could indicate that there is a solution to what they want to change however it will require a lot of waiting in order to be carried out. Later on in the verse the lyrics "So we'll be rude, we'll be loud, as long as it takes." Shows us that the guys will do whatever that want with the time that they have, in order to make the word a better place.

In the Pre-Chorus "And this is why, this is why, We crank the dial to the right. This is why we're biting the bullet, We know the kids are right." From looking at this part of the song it kind of portrays a hidden message that people should listen to the children as they are the ones who are going to be living in the future and therefore the adults should do anything to put there ideas into action to make a word a better place.

In the chorus the line "Sing ooh, different colors, Ooh, we carry each other" indicates that no matter what race you are there should be equality throughout the world. Sticking together and working together you can carry each other through tough times and it will help to induce better things to the world.

Finally in verse two of the song the lyrics "But they don't want to hear, They want us to turn it down." could indicate that some people in the current world are very un-committed when it comes to making changes. some people prefer to live in the current world opposing to make changes for better future preference. In addition the last part of verse two states "Cause when the people get to dancing, They forget about taking sides." This could also be linked to change and equality. The lyric suggests that when people start to have fun/ party, which is linked to "dancing" they forget about taking sides, and everyone comes together to party rather than being sectioned out.

Overall from looking at the lyrics of this song it suggests to me as it goes on that it is aimed towards making the world a better place. This in which can be done by listening to the children and making changes. In addition there should be equality throughout the world and people should be treated the same, and this is the cause in which only the people can change there-selves over time.

Task Two – Analyse the artist

Walk the moon are a small upcoming indie rock band. The style that the bans attires to is more stylized than most. The band consists of four members. In most of there music videos produced the group where similar clothing; Here are some examples;

From the images the 4 band members look like average guys, as there upcoming with some of the work that they have produced I think these artists have a lot of potential with proceeding in the future. Seeing as some of the music hasn't got a video to match it i think the style of clothing in the images above will match the indie rock style of the music they have created. What attracts me to there music is the beat that it portrays as it is very catchy, and i think will get any one hooked if they where to listen to there music.
